What this site is for
Selling across EU borders means doing the same handful of calculations over and over: what VAT rate applies in the destination country, what the goods will cost once duty and freight are added, what a marketplace takes out of each order, what price leaves a margin after all of it, and whether anything survives advertising. None of that is difficult maths. It is just scattered across twenty-seven tax authorities, a dozen marketplaces and a lot of PDFs.
FixCommerce puts those calculations in one place, keeps the underlying rates in a single dated dataset, and shows the formula behind every result so you can check it rather than trust it. Terms that keep turning up in those formulas — Incoterms, customs and VAT vocabulary, the inventory and unit-economics ones — are defined in the glossary.
How the numbers are maintained
Every page that depends on official figures carries the date those figures were last verified and links to the source they came from — usually the European Commission or a national tax authority. Rates change: Estonia, Finland, Romania and Slovakia have all moved their standard VAT rate recently. A calculator that quietly uses last year’s number is worse than no calculator at all.
If you spot a figure that no longer matches the official source, tell us and it gets corrected.
Your language, your market
The rules differ by country, so the content does too. A page about VAT in Germany is not a translation of a page about VAT in Poland — different rates, different thresholds, different authority. Pages are published in the languages of the markets they describe, and new languages are added as the content behind them is written rather than machine-translated in bulk.
Frequently asked questions
No. Every calculator runs in your browser, nothing is stored, and there is no sign-up or usage limit.
Use them to plan, quote and sanity-check. They are reference calculations, not tax advice, and your specific situation may change the answer. Each page links to the official source so you can confirm before you file anything.
No. The maths runs entirely in your browser, which is why results appear as you type. Nothing you enter leaves your device.
