Who is responsible
FixCommerce is a non-commercial reference project, not a company. It sells nothing, carries no advertising and has no customers.
The person who maintains it is the controller for any personal data processed through this site within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation, and can be reached at the email address above. That address is monitored and answered.
What the calculators do with your input
Nothing leaves your device. Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript — that is why results appear as you type, without the page reloading. Prices, costs, VAT numbers and quantities you enter are never transmitted to us, never logged and never stored.
The VAT number checker is the case worth being explicit about: the number you paste is checked against a pattern held in your browser. Verifying registration in VIES is a separate step you take yourself on the European Commission’s site.
Server logs
Like any website, this one is served by a hosting provider that records technical access data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and browser and operating system identifiers.
This data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating the site securely and diagnosing faults. It is not combined with other data, not used to identify anyone, and is deleted on the hosting provider’s ordinary retention schedule.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies at all, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
If you choose the dark or light theme, that choice is stored in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device, identifies nobody, and clearing your browser data removes it.
If you write to us, your email address and the content of your message are processed for the purpose of answering you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Messages are kept only as long as needed for that purpose.
Transfers outside the EEA
None. The site loads no third-party scripts, fonts, images or embeds, so visiting a page contacts no server other than the one hosting this site.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
To exercise any of these rights, write to the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the member state of your residence or workplace.
Note that because this site holds no accounts and stores no calculator input, an access request will in most cases confirm that no personal data about you is held beyond technical server logs and any email correspondence.
Changes
This policy is updated when the site changes — for example if advertising or analytics is ever switched on. The date below always reflects the current version.
